Hello Tomorrow

For every tear, there’s a smile
Happiness is never really that far away
I can almost feel it within my grasp
If I could only get through today
But life doesn’t come with a fast forward option
Adversity is a stranger to none
I know that there are brighter days ahead
But right now I would just settle for one
Where’s the sunset?
Where are the stars?
Is the moon out yet?
Can the darkness hide these scars?
The clock mocks my anxiousness
Each hand seemingly slows with every glance
But like each second, this pain is only temporary
Giving way for my healing to advance
Finally, night has turned into day
I can move forward with no sorrow
Happiness intact, stronger than before
